Emission Report

Are you looking for a way to have an exhaust emissions report prepared for an imported vehicle or for a subsequent performance upgrade, for example? Then you've come to the right place!

Our team has years of experience with a wide variety of vehicles from all over the world. We can support and advise you even before the actual inspection.

When registering an imported vehicle without EC type approval or German ABE, a full inspection is usually required. This may be the case if you want to register a US or Japanese import within the EU and also applies to imported classic cars. In order to obtain an individual operating licence, the emission regulations of the respective registration year must be complied with, among other things. We can reliably offer you this inspection and categorisation.

The procedure for determining emissions is a complex process and is normally accompanied by an expert with the appropriate authorisation to prepare an expert opinion. It is therefore advisable to contact your trusted expert at a very early stage. We will be happy to draw up a test plan together with the expert.

If you are not yet in contact with an expert, you are welcome to contact us. Wir vermitteln Ihnen einen Kontakt.

Power Metering

Whether in its original condition or after a performance upgrade, we can determine the performance of your vehicle on our highly dynamic chassis dynamometer.

Although an exhaust roller dynamometer is not a classic dynamometer, we are still able to reliably and reproducibly determine engine performance. We can test vehicles with all drive technologies (combustion, hybrid or electric engine) in all drivetrain configurations (front, rear or all-wheel drive).

Expert Witness / Court Report

Are you looking for an independent laboratory to assist you with the examination and testing of a contested vehicle?

We have many years of experience and a high level of practical knowledge in the field of court expertises with the key points of fuel consumption, switch-off devices and range determination. Accordingly, we can also offer a comprehensive package of services. Our portfolio is not limited to the legal framework, but can also be supplemented by individual test programmes.
Measurements on the road under real conditions are also not new territory for us. We have the right equipment for this.
Gerne finden wir gemeinsam einen Weg, um ein adäquates und robuste Testprogramm zu entwickeln.

Electric Range Determination of Hybrid or E-Vehicles

Do you suspect that the electric range of your vehicle does not correspond to the manufacturer's specifications in the sales brochure? There can be many reasons for this, and a faulty or old battery cannot be ruled out.

We will find out for you!

As with the emission behaviour of vehicles, there is a legal framework for determining an electric range. The procedures and test conditions are described and recorded in these regulations. The tests are usually carried out on a suitable chassis dynamometer under laboratory conditions. Due to different regulations and therefore procedures worldwide, the specification of a purely electric range can differ even for the same vehicle types with identical batteries in the USA and the EU.

If you drive your vehicle on the road under conditions that differ from the laboratory conditions (temperature, driving profile, route profile), the electric range may be reduced or increased. In both cases, the procedure is only comparable to a limited extent with the brochure value determined from the statutory regulations. A reliable statement about the electric range of your vehicle can therefore only be made on the chassis dynamometer under the required laboratory conditions.

Q/A

Yes, in cooperation with an expert, we can offer the necessary tests in the area of emission classification.

The test bay is very flexible. We can offer everything from small S-pedelecs, motorbikes and cars to large vans and caravans.

The question of costs is always an important issue. Unfortunately, it is not possible to give a generalised answer due to the different requirements and the resulting costs. For a price guide, you should be prepared to pay around €2,600.

Depending on the effort involved, it can take several days. As a rule, the test takes 2 days.

The test programme for an emissions classification is neither comparable in scope nor in content to an MOT.

Unfortunately, there is no guarantee that the vehicle will pass the emissions test.

Yes, the cost of checking whether a vehicle passes or fails is unfortunately the same. However, a subsequent retest is cheaper.

This conclusion should not be drawn lightly. A passed emissions test is no guarantee for a passed emissions test. Conversely, however, it is highly likely that a failed emissions test will also result in a failed emissions test.

Yes, we have the appropriate measurement technology so that you can optimise your vehicle's emission behaviour.

It depends on the drivetrain configuration. We can take a maximum power of 228 kW at each wheel. With 4 x 4, that means 4 x 228 kW.
