Depending on the type of conversion measure, such as chip tuning or turbo conversion, the vehicle type and year of manufacture, different requirements and conditions apply. As a rule, tests to prove the functionality of the emission reduction systems are necessary in combination with a maximum speed determination and power measurement. However, the leaflet only provides guidance and not a binding legal framework. From 01.01.2022, the test requirements were published as a traffic bulletin in order to create a uniform, legally binding framework throughout Germany. This mainly affects vehicles with the emission classes \"Euro 6d-Temp, \"Euro 6d\" and all newer classes with \"Euro 6e\" as well as the following classes thereafter.<\/p>

What does that mean for you?<\/p>

The traffic bulletin refers to the update of the WLTP (laboratory emission test) and RDE (road traffic emission test) test regulations. The regulations applicable at the time of initial registration, including the mandatory retrofitting regulations, are decisive. Furthermore, the scope is limited to the vehicle types with the classes M1, M1-G and N1, N1-G as well as the amount of the maximum performance increase of 20% (factor 1.2).<\/p>
